Did you know that only 40% of individuals find their way back to work within two years of acquiring a brain injury? Difficulty returning to work after a brain injury can lead to anxiety, depression and financial stress.
The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) is seeking participants who can share their experiences about returning to work after acquiring a brain injury. The OBIA also invites support network of ABI survivors and employers for their insight.
OBIA’s Return to Work team is developing a program to facilitate the return to work process with survivors and their employers. To understand the experience of returning to work, we are hosting focus groups.
We are interested in speaking with the following groups of people regarding the return to work process:
- Survivors of concussion/ brain injury
- Employers
- Survivor’s support network
Focus groups will be between 1 and 1.5 hours and will take place in October 2023.
