The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association (SBIA) is seeking individuals who possess a deep understanding of, and experience in, the field of brain injury (BI) and intimate partner violence (IPV). If you are a service provider, advocate, professional, or someone with lived experience of IPV and BI and actively engaged in addressing these issues, we invite you to participate in this study.
Background
In collaboration with leading experts and organizations, the SBIA is initiating an exploratory needs assessment that will delve into the services and resources currently accessible to those affected by BI and IPV.
Criteria for Participation
- 18 years of age or older
- A paid employee at an organization whose main purpose is to provide some form of support services to people living with BI and/or their caregivers
- People who have experienced IPV and have a BI
Interview Details:
- Format: 1 on 1 interview
- Duration: Approximately 45-90 minutes
- Location: Virtual (Zoom video conferencing)
Participant Limit
Due to constraints, the SBIA is only interviewing a maximum of eight individuals. While we genuinely appreciate the enthusiasm expressed by all interested parties, only those whose backgrounds closely align with the goals of the research will be selected to participate.
Knowledge Exchange and Honoraria
For professionals, advocates, or service providers that are chosen for the interviews, complimentary Human Trafficking Training will be conducted for their organization and community via Zoom. For survivors and people with lived experience of BI and IPV, they will receive honoraria of a $100 Visa/Mastercard gift card.

Feel free to include a brief summary of your relevant experience in the BI and/or IPV field. Final participants will be contacted with additional details and confirmation of their participation.
Your contribution to this study will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of support services available to those impacted by Brain Injury and Intimate Partner Violence in Canada.
